DENTURES

Dentures are utilized when many teeth are missing. It is our most cost efficient option to be able to restore chewing ability and to be able to regain your smile. The stability of dentures varies from person to person, therefore, the foods that can be eaten can also vary.

FULL DENTURES (COMPLETE DENTURES)

Full Dentures are when patients are missing all of their teeth. These dentures are held in place by the suction of the roof of your mouth (palate) and the denture. The lower denture does not have the palate space due to the tongue being in the area, so the lower denture balances on the lower bone ridge. Denture adhesive may be utilized to secure your lower denture and can take more time getting used to.

PARTIAL DENTURES

Partial dentures are secured by utilizing clasp onto your existing teeth. We offer two types of partial dentures:

Cast-Metal Partial Denture

Cast-metal partial dentures have a metal base and metal clasp which allows the partial denture to be much more durable and thinner along the tongue side or palate. Its disadvantage is where the metal clasp can sometimes be visible in certain areas of the mouth.

Flexible Partial Denture (Valplast)

Flexible partial dentures are made of a resin material which is less durable and rigid than the cast-metal denture. This allows for less visible clasp when patients smile.
