Dental implants are the best way to replace a missing tooth. Their advantage comes from being a fixed and permanent fixture, unlike removable appliances such as dentures and partial dentures. Being fully integrated into the bone, the dental implant and implant crown allows increased chewing ability allowing you to process more nutritious foods, contributing to your overall health and well being.  

 

Dental implants are made from titanium that are proven to show excellent corrosion resistance and good hard-tissue compatibility. The dental implant is “screw like” shaped for additional surface area for your bone to fuse with the implant called osseointegration. Once the  dental implant has been placed and healed for 4-6 months by our preferred oral surgeon, your dentist at Rockville Dental Studio will take impressions to custom fit your implant crown to your implant fixture that has been fused to your bone.

 

Not all patients have sufficient bone levels but speak with your dentist to see if you are a candidate for dental implants.
